Improvisation sur le Rond
At the heart of Place de la Libération in Montauban, this monumental project celebrates Hugues Panassié, a legendary jazz figure and a key contributor to the city's cultural identity. Three steel musician silhouettes, crafted using a unique rebar technique, embody the energy of 1930s jazz while paying homage to Panassié's passionate support for artists like Louis Armstrong. Set atop a giant vinyl-shaped base, these sculptures transform the square into a vibrant space of memory and culture, highlighting the unbreakable connection between Montauban, jazz, and Panassié's timeless legacy.
